John Connolly and James Whitey Bulger grew up on the streets of South Boston. Decades later, in the late 70s, they meet again. Connolly now beeing a major figure in the FBI's Boston office and Whitey as a godfather of the Irish Mob. A dirty deal to take down Boston's Italian Mafia gets out of control, leading to murder, drug dealing, and, ultimately, to Bulger making the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List.
