Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury meet at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Located directly over the border you get the chance to either stay in California or Nevada. It is 1969 and the young receptionist welcomes a priest, a salesman, a singer, two sisters and the charasmatic leader of a cult. He, the receptionist himself, naturally also has a secret. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption - before everything might possibly go to hell.
