On his 111th birthday, Bilbo Baggins gives away his precious ring to his nephew Frodo Baggins. Soon the wizard Gandalf the Grey tells Frodo, that this is no ordinary ring: It’s an old relic, a Ring of Power, forged in Mount Doom by the Dark Lord Sauron to rule over Middle Earth. To relieve Middle Earth of the fear of Sauron returning to power, the Fellowship of the Ring is formed and begins the dangerous journey to return the One Ring to the fires of Mount Doom and destroy it once and for all!
The film will be shown in the theatrical version.
