A few days after Thanos of Titan disintegrated half of all creatures in the universe using the Infinity Gauntlet, the remaining Avengers (including Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner) plan to regain the Infinity Stones in order to revert the destruction. Since they have been damaged by Thanos, they have to collect the stones from several points of time in the past.
